MISSION/HISTORY
“The program has been an essential
part of the development of the Latin American community in Adelaide since 1978.
We want to keep that place in which the community can express itself and be
proud of its culture”.
“It came up as a response to
commercial radio (mention more…)There is always a need for migrants to have a
space to listen to music and news, and to have their say in their own language.
Thus, keeping their identity.”
“Through the program, we have
promoted our celebrations, sporting and social clubs…”
VIDEO
The presenters’ heads on astronaut suits, flying wearing
typical Latin American suits, our heads with drawings wearing our national
teams’ jerseys, etc.
Between scenes, I would like to show different backgrounds
with famous Latin American landscape, but in cartooned style.
1. In the
first scene, everybody says “Hola!” (Hello in Spanish), dressed in typical
suits and ready to take an important mission.
2. Cristina,
the host presenter, starts by telling the introduction and history of the
programme
(Why her? Because the audience is already identified with her voice):
“We are the presenters of the Latin American programme”
“In 1978,we had a dream of having a programme to support the
Latin American communities …”
(I will ask her if she has a more involving story. She told
me that when the station was founded she said she would collaborate in anything
but in front of a microphone… she has been the Latin American host for more
than 20 years!)
All these years, we have been the place where you…”

“Did you know that community radio is …

“Help us to continue being your

(Letters on screen saying how to
make a contribution)
“Gracias!” (Thanks in Spanish)
